Section 1 — Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a financial transaction, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at mumbaiselah@gmail.com or by post at the address listed below.

Section 2 — Account & in-app data

When you sign in to the Selah Prayer app or to Connect with Google, we receive your name, email address and (if available) profile picture from Google. We use these only to identify you within the app.

The reflections, highlights and notes you create in Connect Notes are stored against your Selah account. They are private to you — no other user, member of staff, or third-party can read them.

Prayer requests submitted via the Selah Prayer app are shared only with members of your Selah church community on the app. You can mark a request as anonymous, edit it, or delete it at any time.

Registration & membership records

When you register with Selah — on this website at selahmumbai.com/register or in person on a Selah registration device — we collect your full name, phone number, age, and a photo of you, together with a record of the statements you confirm during registration. On our in-person device we also take your signature. Where relevant, a member of our team may add documents that evidence your existing Christian faith (for example, a baptism or Christian marriage certificate).

Why we collect this

To keep an accurate, private record of our congregation, and to hold a signed, contemporaneous record — as contemplated by the Maharashtra Freedom of Religion Act, 2026 — that your participation in Selah is voluntary and free of any force, fraud, coercion or inducement. We collect it only with your explicit consent, which you give during registration and may withdraw at any time.

Who can see it

These records are private to Selah’s administrators only. They are never shown to other members and are not shared with, or sold to, any third party. Your details are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on Google Firebase with access restricted to authorised administrators.

Retention & your rights

We keep these records for as long as you remain associated with Selah, or as long as needed for the purposes above. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your registration details at any time by contacting mumbaiselah@gmail.com. The same address is our contact point for any privacy question or grievance.

Children

We do not knowingly register anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. On our in-person device, a parent or guardian completes and signs the registration on the child’s behalf.

Section 3 — Payment

We use Razorpay for processing payments. We and Razorpay do not store your card data on our servers. The data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) when processing payment. Your financial transaction data is only used as long as is necessary to complete the transaction.

Our payment gateway adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. For more, see Razorpay’s terms and conditions at razorpay.com.

Per Indian foreign-contribution regulations (FCRA / FEMA), donations through this site are accepted from Indian passport holders only.

Section 4 — Cookies, analytics & third parties

The marketing site uses standard analytics cookies to understand traffic. Connect and the Selah Prayer app do not set advertising cookies and do not share usage data with advertisers.

We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, database and notifications. Your data lives in Google Cloud regions and is subject to Google’s standard processing agreements.

Section 5 — Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Section 6 — Age of consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

Section 7 — Your rights

You can access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we hold about you. To do so, sign in to your Selah account and use the in-app controls, or contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

You may delete your Selah account at any time. Doing so removes your name, email, highlights, reflections, prayer requests and other in-app data. Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g. donation receipts).

Section 8 — Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
